Shades of Light Goodness

If you've never heard of Shades of Light look them up. Rugs and lighting and home decor (oh my) at GOOD prices. These are some of my favorites right now, actually more like obsessions.

my opinion is extremely important.

I read all 3 of the 50 Shades of Grey books on my honeymoon (special thanks to my sister who provided me with her Kindle). From the beginning of the first book to the last page of the third i started envisioning who would be cast in the movie version of the books (rated XXX?). Whoever said that Emma Watson was the front runner is crazy, nobody from Harry Potter should be in this movie she was real cute and all but she ain't the girl for this. Emma Stone is my pick, she is so versatile dorky/quirky/funny/sexy/age appropriate she totally is Ana Steele. 

And from the very beginning is was Alex Pettyfer for me all the way.

Good night this man is ridiculously hot. There is nothing left to say, the pictures say it all.

Stop it with that face.

I will be the first to admit it. I have developed a Pinterest addiction. I make no excuses for my pinning problems. But honestly if you're going to be addicted to something Pinterest isn't the worse possible thing. These are my recent personal favorites (from this week)...

Foyers & Dumpster Diving

Coming from a teeny-tiny nugget of a house that didn't have a foyer, it's the first room I want to tackle (as this will be a one room at a time, slow process type of home renovation). It's wee but it's defintely capable of making an impression. Since it it the first room people will enter, it has to be a knock out. I'm envisioning a fabulous orange wallpaper and killer lighting.

Although I could go for this turquoise and green color combo which is pretty awesome with the painted stripe floor. But I'm pretty sure painting floors will most likely never be ok with Cam... who believes natural wood is beautiful and should never be altered in any capacity (preview to the kitchen reno debate...). Also love this painted orange wall with black border detail very nice, very do-able.

       

In other news I found 2 Adirondack Rockers on the street out front of my neighbors house. Seemed to be in pretty decent shape other than the fact they were dirty and needed a paint job, so I dragged them home and gussied them up (used Valspar Satin Spray Paint in Avocado).

Cam sat in this one (luckily the unfinished one) they might need a little reinforcement...
